POWER ON Racing has shown off the livery their Mercedes-AMG A45 will wear at the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour this weekend.
Leigh Burges will join team owner and double 12-hour champion Rod Salmon in the brightly coloured AMG this year, with both having had strong performances throughout the 2017 event.
Salmon, co-driving with Nathan Antunes, qualified third and ran strongly before issuses saw them drop several laps to ultimately finish 24th.
Burges, meanwhile, paired up with Supercars ace Jack Perkins to win Class B1 in the BMW 335i that won the race a year prior.
Their strong run saw them finish 8th outright and just one lap behind the leaders.
The Power On team has become one of the most professional in local Production Car Racing and their AMG is expected to be amongst the key contenders this weekend.
“It’s the biggest and toughest race of the year for the Australian Production Car Series with over 60 cars starting the race on Sunday," Burgess said.
"I would like to thank the continued support from Aqualuma Racing, Actron Air, Fast Track Communications, Apex Building Systems, Bluebells Lawyers & York Developments who have made this race possible.
"After a successful test in the Mercedes AMG A45 I am confident and looking forward to taking on the mountain!”
