GWR ADDS THIRD DRIVERS TO BOLSTER SIX-HOUR HOPES

STRATEGIC flexibility is the rationale behind two outright contenders adding a third driver to their respective squads ahead of qualifying for tomorrow’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

Garth Walden Racing has confirmed Bathurst driver Brad Shields will join Garth Walden and Craig Baird in the No. 45 Mercedes-AMG A45, while experienced Kiwi GT ace Daniel Gaunt will join the Kavich brothers in the No. 15 Race for a Cure Mitsubishi.

Walden’s other two entries already featured three driver line ups.

TEENAGERS PAIRING READY FOR B6HR

Teenage racers Jack Winter and Zac Raddatz will become one of the youngest driver combinations to ever tackle a Bathurst endurance race when they team up for Sunday’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

Each just 16 years old, Winter and Raddatz come to Mount Panorama with youthful speed and exuberance in spades.

The pair will drive a Mitsubishi Evo IX, previously campaigned in the race by the CGR Performance stable, in the A1 (Extreme Performance Turbocharged) Class.
