Production Sports car diversity to return in 2012

ONE OF THE MOST diverse grids in Australian Motorsport will return to the Bathurst Motor Festival next Easter.

The CUE Production Sports Cars will return to Mount Panorama in 2012 and bring their brilliant mix of high-powered, exotic GT cars and smaller, more nimble production racers to the Easter Long weekend after a hugely-successful first-up visit this year.

Big day at the races as Motor Festival concludes

A BIG WEEKEND at the Bathurst Motor Festival has finished with a big Easter Sunday of racing at Mount Panorama today.

Five race and two regularity categories wrapped up their respective weekends after another near-perfect Autumn day in Bathurst, with only some early fog slightly delaying proceedings before the sun broke through.

The biggest race of the day was the Production Sports Car one-hour enduro, won spectacularly by Andrew Miedecke and Jamie Augustine in their thundering Daytona Coupe’.

CLEAR BLUE SKIES and warm weather coupled with competitive racing helped create a stunning second day of the Bathurst Motor Festival at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, today.

Event organisers have been pleased with the attendance so far this weekend, a strong crowd gathering at key points at both the top and bottom of Mount Panorama today basking in the sunshine and enjoying the entertaining racing.
