REGULARITY EXPLAINED: RACING YOURSELF AND THE CLOCK

REGULARITY COMPETITION, a unique form of Motorsport that pits competitors against their own driving and the clock, will feature as a major part of this weekend’s Bathurst Motor Festival at Mount Panorama.

In a first for a major Event on the Mountain, two regularity classes made up of more than 80 vehicles – out of a total of 271 entered – will compete this weekend and will be made up by an astonishing variety of different makes and models of vehicle.

RALLY HERO EVANS RETURNS TO BATHURST WITH COMMODORE CUP

ONE OF THE MOST popular figures in Australian Motorsport, four-time Australian Rally Champion Simon Evans, will return to circuit racing as part of the second round of the Commodore Cup National Series, presented by Menzel Glass, this weekend at Mount Panorama.

The 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 ARC champion will team with Jeff Watters in the Automobility-sponsored VS Commodore in the series’ first two-driver ‘mini endurance’ Event of the season.

V8 STARS AND FAMILY TIES TO FEATURE IN COMMODORE CUP BATHURST RACES

A TWO-DRIVER endurance format has encouraged some of the big names from V8 Supercar competition to join the ranks of the Commodore Cup National Series this Easter long weekend at the Bathurst Motor Festival.

Round Two of the 2011 series will feature two, 45-minute races on the famous Mount Panorama circuit as part of the Bathurst Motor Festival Event; a star-studded driver line-up making the task of picking a winner hugely challenging.

PACKED GRIDS TO TACKLE BATHURST MOTOR FESTIVAL

MORE THAN 270 Vehicles will take part in the Bathurst Motor Festival this Easter long weekend, an outstanding response to a new Event only announced late last year.

The massive entry has come from five race and two regularity-based categories all eager to get rare track time on the hallowed bitumen of Mount Panorama, with four classes featuring 40 or more cars in their respective entry lists.

THE RARE CHANCE to drive a V8-powered racing car at speed around Mount Panorama is set to offer fans an opportunity of a lifetime at the Bathurst Motor Festival this Easter.

The Event has teamed with the V8 Race Experience to offer fans the opportunity to drive themselves around the 6.213km circuit, in controlled conditions and with no speed limits or traffic, on the Monday following the three-day Motor Festival this Easter long weekend.
