CAMPSITES for the 2016 Bathurst Motor Festival go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday 5 August), with Event organisers encouraging fans to book early to avoid disappointment. Demand for campgrounds is expected to reach record levels for the Easter 2016 Event due to the introduction of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour Production Car enduro.Bathurst’s newest major endurance race is expected to not only bring additional competitors to the region, but additional fans and volunteer officials as well.Campground sales will commence on Wednesday morning and will be available via the www.bathurstmotorfestival.com.au website via the online booking portal.Once there, patrons can select their desired campground site, pay and receive confirmation via an entirely electronic process.Patrons are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.”We are expecting increased demand for next year given the interest surrounding the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour race,” Event Director James O’Brien said.”Our new online booking system makes it easy for patrons to secure their preferred site well in advance of the Event and we are encouraging them to do so early to avoid disappointment.”The influx of competitors, teams and fans for the new race, in addition to the large fields anticipated across existing Bathurst Motor Festival categories and our volunteer officials, mean that we are anticipating a full campground across the Easter long weekend next March.”It will be a great atmosphere and another sensational weekend on the Mountain.”Bathurst Motor Festival campgrounds open at 8am on Thursday 24 March prior to the Event commencing and close at 9am on Easter Monday.
