Merrick Malouf will be partnering Daniel Flanagan again at this year’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, driving a HSV GTS.After suffering alternator failure in 2016 while running 3rd outright, the team’s aim is once again make our way up the field and contend not only for a strong class result but hopefully a top ten position outright.”The team has good support again this year from Goodyear Auto Care Phillip ACT, Fifth Gear Motoring and Prime Finance. These business have aided the team massively this year financially and resourcefully to enable us to be competitive,” Flanagan said.Daniel won the wet one-hour NSW Production Touring Car Race in 2015 and has experience in an Aussie Car at Mt Panorama also from 2012.  This will be his 5th visit to Bathurst.Merrick has contested last years race but also has experience racing a V8 ute at Bathurst at the support races for the 2015 Bathurst 1000.Daniel is the owner/director of Fifth Gear Motoring which is a Canberra based driving instruction company who provides training for L Platers, Rehab, Advance, 4wd Training, Skid Pan, Defensive, Track Days, Disabled Driver Training, Corporate training and Performance Training. “Our motorsport dream began in 2007 when Alan Hayes from Goodyear Phillip made it all possible and assited Daniel in building a bright yellow Hyundai Sonata which they won the 2007 Class C Championship in,” Flanagan said.”10 years on team manager Alan Hayes and Icontinue the’re strong bond with the assistance of Head Mechanic David Hussey (V8 ute and V8 Supercar Experience) and look forward to tacking the Mountain again.  Hoping the HSV will bring the same luck she did back in 2015 and perhaps be a winner once again!”
