WALL RACING RETURNS TO B6HR

DAVID WALL and John Bowe will return to the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour this year, looking to go a few spots better than the 2016 race. Last year was a very good weekend for the Alan East Motorsport/Wall Racing Evo at the Bathurst 6 Hour, despite not having the outright speed of the current cars, such as the Mercedes and BMW.  The Evo was reliable and was a great racecar over the 6 hour race, finishing in 3rd overall and 1st in A1 (All Wheel Drive) Class. With David Wall and John Bowe driving the team exceeded their expectations and mostly importantly had a lot of laughs and fun over the weekend.Alan was very keen to compete in the 6 hour again in 2017.  This year Wall Racing have rebuilt the engine – after competing in 4 x 12 hours races, a 6 Hour race plus a number of practice days it was well and truly overdue.Heading into the 6 Hour this year Wall Racing have had more time to prepare the Evo and make a few changes to the car.John Bowe and David Wall will be driving the Evo 9 again this year.”We are going there to do well, after finishing 3rd last year we are looking at going a few more steps up the podium,” said David Wall.”With a number of new cars in the race this year including the BMW and RS Focus as well all the Evo’s, competitors from last year and the other 65 entries the competition is going to tough, but we are looking forward to the challenge in the Evo 9 GSR”.”Hopefully we can get Alan a great result that is well deserved for all the effort that he has put into the car over the years and to East Caravan Park for getting behind use again for the 6 Hour event”.The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on the Easter long weekend (April 14-16).(Team Release)
