WALL / BOWE EVO TOPS WARM UP

DAVID WALL and John Bowe topped this morning’s warm-up on a crisp but fine Mount Panorama circuit Easter Sunday, as teams completed a final systems-check ahead of today’s 11:30am race start. Despite running through two full pit-stop simulations, the Wall Racing / Easts Holidays Parks Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9 GSR was still able to bank a competitive 2m26.945s lap to top the 20-minute session.RESULTS: Warm-up times. It was a good start for the team that finished third in the race last year – and also celebrates John Bowe’s birthday today! Jack Perkins / Leigh Burges were second in the 2016-winning BMW 335i (2m28.601s) while Nathan Morcom and Chaz Mostert were third in the team car, their 2m28.662s lap set to give them confidence after yesterday’s qualifying dramas.Garth Walden and Craig Baird were fourth while the Jason Gomersall / Jeromy Gray FG Falcon GT continued their strong run to fifth.The Muir / Hodgson VE HSV GTS topped the A2 class, while the Krinelos / Virag / Loscialpo VF SSV Redline continued their domination of class B2.The Renault Megane RS265 of Osborne / Morall topped Class C, the Heath / Heath Toyota Class D and the Carr / Jarvis AU Saloon Car Invitation class.The session was red-flagged to recover the stricken No. 71 Legacy Holden Commodore that stopped on Mountain Straight mid-session.The 2017 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour starts at 11:30am local time tomorrow, with free live streaming via the www.bathurst6hour.com.au/live page.
