PRELIMINARY B6HR PROGRAM CONFIRMED
THE PRELIMINARY race program for the 2018 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour event has been released, showcasing a bumper weekend of racing at Mount Panorama this Easter. Starting on Good Friday – 30 March – the three-day event includes on-track action from approximately 8am each day with an almost non-stop action of support categories and Bathurst 6 Hour sessions throughout.Bathurst 6 Hour competitors will practice twice on Friday with a pair of one-hour sessions, followed by a further one-hour session on Saturday.Qualifying for the race will be held over two, 30-minute sessions – one each for the top and bottom 50% of the field from practice.The third running of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will then commence at 11:30am on Sunday, 1 April.The preliminary schedule (subject to change) can be viewed here.The bumper support program includes practice and qualifying on Friday followed by wall-to-wall racing on Saturday and Sunday morning.Formula Ford, Group N and Series X3 Excel competitors will race three times each, while the Production Sports Car grid will tackle a pair of one-hour mini endurance races – one each on Saturday and Sunday.The Porsche Club of New South Wales will enjoy four regularity trials across Friday and Saturday at the event.Bumper fields are expected across each category competing at the Hi-Tec Bathurst 6 Hour event, including another strong grid forming for the headline act itself.Nearly 60 cars are already entered with nominations not set to close until 23 February this year.The other race and regularity categories are expected to all feature bumper grids, making for an outstanding weekend of racing across Easter.Tickets are on sale for the March 30-April 1 event and are avaialble through this website.Tickets start at just $10 for a Friday ticket purchased online prior to the event, and just $40 for a three-day GA ticket purchased online.Grandstand and pit / paddock access remain free for all attending the 2018 event.Click here for more details about the 2018 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour ticketing information.
