Entries open for 2022 Bathurst 6 Hour

ENTRIES for the 2022 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour are now open.

Australia’s top Production Car endurance race will return to Mount Panorama next Easter (April 15-17) with competitors able to lodge their entry form now.

Early bird entries received and paid by November 30, 2021 will see a $2420 discount, with the entry form able to be downloaded here.

Mount Panorama’s grid density for the six-hour race remains 72 cars, with 60 cars competing in this year’s race. The race record field remains at 64 cars, set in 2017.

The 2021 race was won by Shane van Gisbergen, Rob Rubis and Shane Smollen driving a BMW M4 in one of the most open and competitive fights at the front of the field in the race’s five year history.

The BMW won by just 7.8 seconds, while a race record 11 cars finished on the lead and 120th lap.

18 lead changes between 8 different cars highlighted the incredibly competitive affair in the outright categories.

The battles in the various classes were no less competitive: Four cars finished on the lead lap in A1 (Extreme Performance, Forced Induction) and Class X (Ultimate Performance) while the battle for the lead was battled out between three cars in class A2 (Extreme Performance, Normally Aspirated) and Class D (Production Car).

Information for spectators, campers, hospitality packages and officials will be made available in the coming weeks.
