RaceFuels preparing for huge Bathurst 6 Hour event

RaceFuels is preparing for one of its biggest motorsport events of the Australian season – the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

As the official supplier of racing fuels to the event, RaceFuels has all hands on deck getting the 60,000 litres of fuel ready for the prized event that includes the Bathurst 6 Hour race, plus the opening round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.

The 60-plus entries for the Bathurst 6 Hour will require as much as 40,000 litre of fuel to complete the weekend – an amount that requires as much logistical planning as it does resources.

RaceFuels CEO Mark Tierney says that the 6 Hour is one of the biggest events on the RaceFuels calendar.

“Most suppliers would be daunted by the level of service that needs to be applied to an event like the Bathurst 6 Hour, and despite the hurdle of having the Australian Grand Prix a week before, RaceFuels will be ready to go for the event,” said Tierney.

“This event is Australia’s best grassroots motorsport event. We have been the official supplier since the race started in 2016 and we are excited to see a record field of starters take to the grid over the Easter weekend.

“Besides the 6 Hour race, it’s the launch of the GT World Challenge season here in Australia. The GT cars will continue to use the ELF Core 50 variant of FIA-Specification racing fuel, and with a strong level of entries predicted for that class, it adds extra excitement for RaceFuels and ELF.”

RaceFuels will also supply the fuel to support classes Hyundai Excels and Pulsar Cup over the weekend.

The on-track action starts on Friday, April 14 with practice ahead of a full schedule of qualifying and racing, ultimately leading up to the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on Sunday afternoon.
