Closely following was the returning Marcos Ambrose in the Miedecke Motor Group Mustang, second outright and fastest in the A2 class. He’ll share that car with George Miedecke and Tim Brook.

The only drama during the session came when the Class A2 HSV ClubSport R8 of Gary Beggs/Jim Manteufel/Christopher Sharples had a high-speed off at The Chase.

Turner will start the car from the rear of the grid later this morning, however the car has clear pace having topped the warm-up in class.

In Class A1, Breanna Wilson set the fastest time in her WRX STI to be co-driven by Dimitri Agathos.

In Class B2, the Brent Edwards/Cody McKay/Bradley McDonald Holden SSV 6.0 set the fastest time with McDonald at the wheel.

In Class C, Ben McLeod set the fastest time in the HSV VXR to be co-driven by Brock Giblin.

In Class D, the pole-sitting Toyota 86 of Murray Dowsett/Mitchell Maddren/Lachlan Bloxsom topped the timesheets.

And in Class E, the Mazda 3 SP25 driven by Cameron Beller was fastest, with Andrew Jackman and Mark Taubitz set to share the car in the race.

The cars next hit the track for the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour which begins at 11:45am.
