A HUGE program of on-track action has been locked in for the 2024 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

Culminating in the six-hour Production Car race on Easter Sunday, the three-day program packs in a massive on-track program of practice, qualifying and 19 races prior to the big one.

As well as the previously announced free to air coverage on SBS, the event will also be broadcast on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports this year.

Six hour competitors will enjoy two, one-hour practice sessions on Friday prior to another 40-minute hit-out on Saturday morning prior to qualifying.

Action commences on Good Friday at 7:35 am and runs through to 6pm local time when the second hour of Bathurst 6 Hour practice concludes.

Racing starts bright and early on Saturday morning with a packed program building throughout the day towards Bathurst 6 Hour qualifying.

That session will be contested across two parts – first for the bottom half of the field, followed by the top 50% – each 20 minutes in length.

Competitive action continues into Saturday afternoon following Six Hour qualifying, with the support program all enjoying at least one race broadcast on live, free to air TV.

Sunday’s schedule starts at 7:55am local time and builds with final support races and the warm-up session for the Bathurst 6 Hour prior to the 11:45am rolling start for the main race itself.

The early date for Easter in 2024 will see a later finish for the race, running into the twilight for a 5:45pm local time finish on Easter Sunday.

The 6-Hour will be broadcast live and free on SBS and on Fox Sports and Kayo across Sunday, with the broadcast commencing at 11:30am AEDT.

Saturday’s action will be shown on SBS between 1pm-5pm local time, with Fox Sports and Kayo coverage commencing an hour earlier and finishing at 6:00pm local time.

The 2024 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will be held across the March 29-31 long weekend this year.
