Father-daughter team to tackle Bathurst 6 Hour
A FATHER-daughter team unique in Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour history will take on the event this year.
The groundbreaking team will feature Annabelle Rolfo – a successful kart racer and up and coming driver – sharing the car with her father, Carlos.
Carlos Rolfo, a motorsport stalwart is notable for his long stanza in production car racing a mighty Suzuki Swift taking on the mountain multiple times in the ‘Showroom Showdown’, before going on to have starts in the Great Race at the 1998 and 99 AMP Bathurst 1000 in a Super Touring car.
Together, they aim to showcase not only their familial bond but also their shared love for motorsport on one of Australia’s most iconic circuits, Mount Panorama.
“Racing alongside my dad at the Bathurst 6 Hour is a dream come true,” said Annabelle Rolfo. “It’s a special opportunity to combine family and racing in such a meaningful way, and we’re thrilled to be making history together.”
Racing under the banner of Carbiz Replacement Cars, the dynamic duo will compete in Class D for Production Cars.
The team is led by Brendan Prescott, the operations manager of the newly opened Carbiz branch in Coffs Harbour, who is the team manager.
Prescott brings years of motorsport expertise to the role including international experience, ensuring the Carbiz team is well-prepared for the challenges of endurance racing. Backed by the dedicated employees of Carbiz, the team’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the track, reflecting Carbiz’s values of innovation and teamwork.
In addition to making history, the team is focused on performance with a new Toyota GR 86, specifically designed for Class D competition at the Bathurst 6 Hour, under construction.
The new car is a testament to the team’s ambition and Carbiz’s investment in cutting-edge engineering and motorsport excellence which includes the team working with technical partners at Prolube Lubricants on specially designed lubricants for the 86’s powertrain.
