Record opening day for Bathurst entry list
A RECORD-SMASHING day has seen 97 cars enter the 2027 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour within six hours of entries officially opening.
Using the event’s online entry platform, 34 entries were lodged within five minutes of entries opening at 10AM this (Wednesday, 23 September) morning.
72 entries – the ultimate capacity of the Bathurst 6 Hour grid – had been lodged within half an hour while 90 submissions had been completed by midday today.
It comprehensively tops the 57 entries lodged on the first day of entries being opened for the 2026 event.
The Bathurst 6 Hour entry selection process is extremely rigorous and outlined for all entries – with the lodgement of the entry itself only the first part of the process.
Each entry submitted will be individually assessed, based on several key criteria, by an entry list panel before those accepted are formally notified.
Entries that don’t make the 72-car grid capacity for the race will be invited to go on a reserve list – which can remain active up to and including the event itself should those reserves entries chose to commit to attending.
Entries will remain open through to the closing date on 16 December this year.
