Q. What is the history of the Event?
A. The inaugural Bathurst 6 Hour was held in 2016 however the first ever motor racing meeting was held over Easter in 1938.

Q. What cars run in the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour?
A. Production cars (CAMS Group 3E Regulations).

Q. What time does the 6 Hour Race start?
A. TBC closer to the event.

Q. Is the 6 Hour Race being televised/streamed?
A. TBC closer to the event.

Q. What time do gates open and close?
A. Gates open at 7.00am and close 6.00pm daily.

Q. What parking is available?
A. Public parking is available immediately adjacent to the Main Ticket Box off Panorama Avenue.

Q. What catering options are available?
A.  Food vendors will be operating from the Paddock Café.

Q. Are hospitality options available?
A. Yes – you can view the event corporate hospitality packages here.

Q. Will alcohol be sold at the Event?
A. No. It will only be available in the corporate suites.

Q. Is camping offered at this Event?
A. Yes, in the Paddock Campground – see dedicated page on the website.

Q. Can I drive my own car up to the top of the Mount to watch racing?
A. Yes, providing all occupants have a valid ticket (children 12 and under free of charge).

Q. Can I gain access to the Pit complex roof during the Event?
A. Yes, however children must be supervised at all times.

Q. Is there a ‘Will Call’ Office
A. Yes, referred to as the ‘Accreditation Office’ and located at the Main Gate. The hours of operation will be confirmed closer to the event.

Q. Are there Big Screens?
A. Yes, locations confirmed closer to the event.

Q. What facilities are there for disabled patrons?
A. Disabled patrons can park at the top of the main car park, next to the accreditation centre (providing official State Govt vehicle pass on the car) then access the disabled elevator attached to the main pedestrian bridge which connects with the pit complex where there is a suitable elevator to access the Paddock (area behind the garages). Disabled toilets are located in the pit complex along with ramps to access the entire complex.

Q. Will official event merchandise be available for sale?
A. Yes, from the official merchandise stall located at the rear of Garage 36.

Q. What first aid service is available?
A. St John’s Ambulance will be operating from sites in the Paddock.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. No, animals of any type are prohibited with exception to assistance animals.

Q. Is there an ATM at the Circuit?
A. No, the nearest is located in Bathurst township, approximately 3 km away.

Q. Where is Bathurst?
A. Bathurst is approximately 3 hours by car from the Sydney CBD, 4.5 hours by train or less than an hour by plane.

Q. What is the weather normally like in April?
A. Bathurst in April has an average low temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and an average high temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.

Q. Will the National Motor Racing Museum be open?
A. Yes. You will need to purchase a ticket to the Bathurst 6 Hour event as the museum sits within the event site. You will also need to purchase an entry ticket into the museum on arrival at the museum.
