Race for a cure cause gets a helmet donation boost at Bathurst
A GENEROUS Fan will have the chance to own some Bathurst helmet history if they’re the lucky bidder in a new charity auction launched at the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour this weekend.
Tyler Everingham has generously donated his custom-painted BELL model HP7 carbon helmet, worn at both the 2023 Supercars Endurance rounds (Sandown 500 & Bathurst 1000), to be auctioned off to the highest bidder in support of Race For A Cure Breast Cancer Trials.
Everingham will sport the helmet at this weekend’s Bathurst 6 Hour, along with upcoming 2024 Supercar Endurance season, before it is auctioned off.
This unique piece of memorabilia is the real deal and not a replica. Valued at $11,000, it carries with it the pure endurance sweat of its previous races, making it a truly authentic and valuable item.
Tyler has expressed his support for Breast Cancer Trials and the Kavich brothers Race For A Cure initiative since meeting in 2022.
“I’m super excited to announce that I will be auctioning off my race helmet later in the year for the Race For A Cure Breast Cancer Trials,” he said.
“I have been waiting to do something like this since meeting Ben & Michael (Kavich) at this event in 2022. Helmets are usually something very personal to a driver, I know myself I have every helmet I have worn since I was 10 when I started go karting, but I am happy that I can play a small role in raising funds and awareness to this worthy cause.”
Keep an eye on the GWR Australia for more information on how you can place your bid and support the cause in the coming months and together, let’s race towards a cure!
Note: The helmet will be delivered to the successful bidder after the 2024 Bathurst 1000 round.
