Huge fields highlight B6HR support program
MORE THAN 250 cars will compete across the packed support race program in store for this week’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour at Mount Panorama.
Entry lists have been locked for a majority of the state and national level classes on the six-hour undercard with plenty for fans of all types of circuit racing to enjoy.

The Trico Trans-Am Series will release what is expected to be a record-smashing field tomorrow (Tuesday) ahead of their second round of the year.
A huge field of more than 50 cars will compete in the Autosport Improved Production races, their grid comprised of both over and under two-litre cars.
The grid for the Autosport IPRA Bathurst Cup includes cars from six states and the Northern Territory, with a notable addition to the field including Tasmanian Adam Garwood – the reigning Touring Car Masters champion – who will race a Holden Monaro.
Another huge Hyundai Excel field will feature a look to the future of the sport with a host of young rising stars racing alongside state and national level competitors from across Australia.
Among them will include the sons of two legends of Aussie Rules football; teenagers Ayce Buckley, the son of Collingwood great Nathan and Jack Johnson, the son of Western Bulldogs legend Brad, both competing this weekend.
The Australian Prototype Series will contest the second round of their national tour this weekend, linking with the Regulator Automation NSW Supersports Championship for a combined grid of Sports Cars this week.
As well as champions JP Drake, Jason Makris and Mark Laucke, Radical SR8 racers Neale Muston and Phil Hughes are expected to be contenders.
The field includes the return of Darren Barwlow in his Stohr WF1 while several First Focus Radical Cup Australia racers will also compete this weekend.
The Historic Touring Cars grid will see a huge 40-plus grid of cars representing Group Nb, Nc and Group S sports cars in a look back at the history of Touring Car racing in Australia, with cars large and small all represented.
Finally, a 42-car combined field of Australian Pulsar Association and Formula RX8 one-make racers will share the grid in what is sure to be a competitive battle in both categories.
Action commences on Friday with practice, qualifying and races while Saturday will see live broadcast coverage of all support categories in a massive day of on-track action.
