TICKETS ON SALE FOR HI-TEC OILS BATHURST 6 HOUR
SOME of the best value tickets in Australian Motorsport are now on sale. Tickets to the 2017 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour enduro went on sale today (1 November) with entry to the Event starting at just $10 if purchased online by clicking here.With a full support program, an anticipated grid of more than 55 cars for the main race itself and hours of on track action every day, the Bathurst 6 Hour offers plenty of bang-for-buck for ticketholders.As well as enjoying general admission access to the entire circuit, a GA ticket also includes access to the paddock area, the pit straight grandstand and the pit building roof.Friday access starts at $10, while a three-day GA ticket purchased online is just $35. Children 12 and under will be admitted free alongside a paying adult.Tickets can be purchased online via the Bathurst 6 Hour website, with tickets purchased online priced more affordably than those purchased at the gate during the Event.Interest continues to build ahead of the Race, to be held across the Easter long weekend next April.The already strong entry list – currently standing at 57 cars – has been further bolstered by the addition of an MG6, entered by the brand’s Australian office in partnership with James Brock’s Brock Race Engineering.Entered in Class E, the 1.8 litre four-door sedan will hope to emulate the success of the company in the British Touring Car Championship.”We’re very excited to be entering the 2017 Production Car Series with MG as our partner,” James Brock said.”Having seen the competitive performance of the MG6 in various global motor sport series, we can’t wait to start designing and building our race car with input from MG’s UK-based design centre. We’re looking forward to making a competitive presence in 2017, kicking off with an attack on the famed Bathurst mountain race track.” Sherrin Racing, the team that finished on the podium in this year’s race, has also lodged their entry for the race with their existing BMW 135i.Also readying their program is a Sydney-based team headed up by well-known Production Car racer, David Raddatz.His outfit has entered what will be the first Alfa Romeo Guilietta QV to contest the race – the small hot hatch to be entered in Class C alongside the ever-present BMW 130i, Renault Megane’s and Mazdas that make up the class.Meanwhile, five AU Ford Falcon Saloon Cars are entered in the invitational class – setting up a competitive inter-class battle between the six-cylinder races: cars that usually compete against similar Holden Commodores in their own championship.Amongst the five are the defending Invitational class champions Lindsay Kearns and Colbey Cowham – who finished a remarkable 15th outright in the 2016 Race.The 57-car entry currently list includes 14 different manufacturers, while entries close for the race on 10 March 2017.
